The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has called for unity, peace, and collective progress among Nigerians and across the region.
Speaking at the VON Forum 2026, the Monarch commended participants for their commitment to dialogue and development, highlighting “the importance of collaboration among traditional institutions, government, the military, academia, and the media in promoting stability.”
He also highlighted the role of traditional institutions in fostering social cohesion and mediating conflicts at the community level.
The Etsu Nupe urged continued partnership and a shared sense of purpose in promoting peace and development, stressing that sustained unity remains the cornerstone for meaningful progress and lasting prosperity.
