Datti Ahmed emerges as running mate for Labour Party’s Presidential candidate

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has unveiled his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The party on Friday, revealed Baba-Ahmed as its vice presidential candidate in next the 2023 general elections, following the withdrawal of Doyin Okupe, who had stood in.

 

The forty-six-year-old Senator Baba-Ahmed said that if given Labour Party the mandate, the Party “will update the Nigerian school syllabus, especially in the area of conversion to consumption to production in the area of engineering, building, medicine and equipment into sciences”

Also speaking on the Nigerian educational sector Senator Baba-Ahmed who is the founder and Pro-Chancellor of Baze University in Nigeria added that “every teacher is going to be a student and that Nigeria education will add value to the value of naira…”

The Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in Nigeria, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed said he will ensure consistency in the party.

He further said education is one of the party’s priorities and will ensure that it reflects on the area of security that Nigerians see and feel around them.

While unveiling the Vice Presidential Candidate, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi said Nigerians will see decisive steps for securing Nigeria.

Mr Obi said if elected President of Nigeria, the party will pull Nigerians out of poverty which will reduce criminality.

The National Chairman of the Labour Party Mr Julius Abure said with the former Governor of Anambra State Southeast Nigeria Mr Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Baba-Ahmed the party is ready to pilot the affairs of the country.

 

Recall Okupe stepped down yesterday from the position to pave the way for Baba-Ahmed.
