The wife of the Nigerian Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo has advised women to dream big and inspire themselves to achieve their dreams.

She gave the advice at the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative, WODDI Inspiring Women Summit, 2023 being held in Abuja.

Mrs Osinbajo said that women are made to go through a lot in life and deserve the utmost care, love and affection.

The Vice President’s wife who declared the summit open also called for the education of the girl child for a better tomorrow.

“This event is meant to inspire us. This event is meant to enable us to identify the goal post. And as you identify the goalpost, keep at the top of your mind that you are going to make it to the goal. You need to focus. You need to be intentional. You need to choose to sour, you need to choose to succeed, you need to choose to win. Mrs Osinbajo said.

She also said women need to break out of depression and ensure that they are the best they can be, adding that Nigerian women are beautiful and have the potential to inspire themselves.

The Gambian First Lady, Mrs Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow advised women to endeavour to be complete in all they do.

She said that the summit was very important as it would inspire more women to achieve their dreams

The Convener of the summit, Mrs Nneoma Rochas Okorocha, said that the summit aims to provide a space where women can come together to share experiences, challenges and successes.

She said that the dream of the conference was also breaking through barriers and creating a world where every Nigerian woman can thrive and fulfil their potential.

“This summit will also help us foster peace and Unity in Nigeria with a renewed seal. As we embark on this journey together, we are reminded of the numerous challenges women face in their personal and professional lives. From discrimination and biases to societal expectations and cultural norms, women often encounter obstacles that hinder their growth and limit their potential. However, we are determined to break through these barriers and forge a path that is inclusive, equitable, and empowering for all women”.  Mrs Rochas Okorocha said.

The summit assembled women from different works of life to share experiences, stories as well as offer practical tools and resources to help women navigate the complexities of the modern world.

Wives of current and former governors, lawmakers, Women Organisations, women in academia, religious leaders, community leaders and others gave goodwill messages at the meeting and pledged to continue to uphold women.
