Electioneering: “Get your Permanent Voters’ Cards ready” –  Senator Egwu

The Senator representing Ebonyi North senatorial zone, Dr. Sam Egwu, has called on the people of the zone to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) ready in order to elect the person of their choice during the forthcoming election.
The Senator made this plea during his royal reception at the palace of the late His Royal Majesty Eze Ogba Ekirigwe in Ohaukwu local government area of the state.
The visit was organized by Professor Ike-Elechi Ogba, the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
“This 2023 General Election will be determined by the people.
“Time has passed when people think that they can use election malpractices to win election.
“With the new Electoral Act and some innovations in the electoral system in the country, Nigerians are the ones who will decide who wins or loses,” Egwu stressed.
He used the occasion to solicit for votes as he re-contests his senatorial position.
He thanked the entire Ogba Ekirigwe’s and the people of the state for their support so far.
The sponsor of the royal reception, Professor Ike-Elechi Ogba, thanked Senator Egwu for coming and for the positive impact he has made on humanity, while urging the people of the state to emulate Egwu.
Ogba promised to continue the good works which Egwu has taught him by making sure he awards scholarship for Masters degree programme to five persons, one each year for the next five years.
Eze David Ogba and the entire Ogba Ekirigwe’s family also prayed for Egwu’s continuous success.
Others who graced the occasion were the Ebonyi North Zonal People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Barrister James Onah, the House of Assembly candidate for Ohaukwu North under the platform of the PDP, Prince Okpuru Chibueze, and Barrister Ekuma Onyebuchi, among others.
The highlight of the occasion was a cultural dance from the Ofuobu Cultural Group, and Akadike Cultural Group, among others.
