Trading activities on the equities market closed in the positive on Monday, recording a gain of 0.71%.
The All-Share index gained 277.17 points to close at 39.493.37 as against 39,216.20 recorded on Friday Last week.
Similarly, the market capitalization appreciated by N145 billion to close at N20.663 trillion compared to N20.518 at the close of trade last week.
The market sentiment was also positive on Monday as 28 gainers and 12 losers were recorded at the end of the day’s trading.
A total of 522.17m shares worth N10.65 billion exchanged hands in 4,566 deals on Monday.
Courtville led the gainers chart after it gained N0.2k to close at N0.22k, followed by Custodian which gained 0.6k to close at 6.6k and then Link assurance which gained N0.5k to close at N0.56k.
On the other hand, Cornerstone depreciated by N0.6k to close at N0.55k. It was followed by Oando, which lost N0.20k to close at N3.10k, then HoneyFlour lost N0.06k to close at N1.18k.
Guaranty had the highest volume of trade on Monday with 230.371 million shares valued at N7.386 billion, followed by UBN with 79, 220 million shares worth N419.837 million.
