The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai has stated that the amazing selflessness of the nation’s fallen heroes who have paid the supreme price to ensure that the country remains indivisible shall never be forgotten.
The Army Chief said every man is born a hero but it takes a man of valour to be a soldier and the memories of the fallen ones never die.

In a message on the occasion of the Armed Forces and Remembrance Day Celebrations which climax on Friday, he commended the fallen heroes for the part they played in keeping the peace of the country even in the face of daunting challenges.
He also saluted the courage of the retired and serving members of the Nigerian Army and appreciated their commitment and loyalty while sending love and prayers to the families of the departed colleagues.
General Buratai expressed his appreciation to the good people of Nigeria, for the support and goodwill to the armed forces.
