The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo has assured investors and companies operating in the state of adequate security for their investments in the state.
Governor Soludo gave the assurance at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Awka, during the unveiling of The Golf Residency (TGR), a uniquely designed world class estate located in Aguaba GRA, one of the new layouts approved by the Anambra State government for the development of the Awka 2.0 project.
The Governor, represented by the State Commissioner for lands, Prof Ofonze Amucheazi, assured citizens that the estate would provide a well secured liveable, prosperous and mega green city convenient for all categories of people.
“The government alone cannot meet all the housing needs of the citizens, this is why the administration has embraced a global housing policy that, among other objectives, seeks to explore innovation and partnership with the private sector to actualise the vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland in Nigeria.”
Soludo recalled that his recent visit to the estates built by Rainbow Heritage Group at Port Harcourt, inspired him to invite them to invest in Anambra State because of their professionalism, and enjoined the citizenry to take advantage of the investment for good.
Speaking at the event, the group’s Commercial Director, Mrs Prinye Ngelale, disclosed that the Golf Residency (TGR) was targeted at deserving hardworking people of Anambra State at home and in the diaspora for comfort and style, in a serene and harmonious environment connected in a smart community.
Ngelale assured investors (homeowners) that they would receive Deeds of Assignment, an extract from the global Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) in line with the joint venture agreement with the Anambra State Government.
Ngelale further stated that the estate shall be divided in thematic clusters to enhance communal connectivity and neighbourliness, including playgrounds, centralised water distribution system with water treatment plants.
For his part, the Director, Strategy and Planning, Rainbow Heritage Group, Mr Emeka Onwuocha, commended Governor Soludo for his achievement recorded in the housing sector.
The estate, situated on 55 hectares of land, is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project with the Anambra State government, aimed at providing improved and affordable accommodation for middle and high income earners.
In attendance were the State Commissioner for Budget and Economy Planning, Ms Chiamaka Nnake, the Managing Director, Anambra State ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, the media, among others.
