Governor Soludo Flags Off Solution Theatrical Course In Secondary Schools

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has flagged off ‘Solution Theatrical Course’ in all secondary schools across the state.

Before the flag off, Governor Soludo revealed that art is life and as such it will be a powerful tool to inculcate positive policies and programmes and as well drive their individual talents for alternative means of livelihood in future.

The Governor who described drama as a living literature, explained that the Solution Theatrical Course will be taken as clubs in private and public schools and expressed optimism that only theatre can express some certain ways of life while reflecting lessons which automatically changes ones narrative.

Speaking at the occasion,the chairman, Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, Anambra state chapter, Evangelist Leo Ekwuzie reiterated that the Solution Theatrical Club is a project aimed at harnessing and reshaping unique talents of students and youths with regular practical experience through theatre and assured that the course will reduce unemployment, increase public speaking skills among the children, encourage socialization, discourage indiscipline and other social vices and described nollywood as an untapped industry.
Evangelist Ewuzie revealed that they have mapped out plans for a competition from the local government to the six educational zones in the state and to end up at the grand finale and asked for full participation in having fun on set.
The “Solution Theatrical Course” is a state government partnership with the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, Anambra state chapter.
It is designed to have a wider scope in preparing and educating the students on government policies and programmes as well as boost their opportunities in movie and content making industry in the future.
Governor Soludo represented by Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh performed the flag off at Jerome Udorji State Secretariat in Awka.
In another development, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has advocated for Public Private Community Partnership in the drive of his administration to make education an opportunity equalizer.

Governor Soludo spoke through the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, shortly after the commissioning of the administrative block renovated by the Alumni Association of the Igwebike Grammar School Awka.
Governor Soludo who stated that his resolve to transform public schools to smart schools followed the need to return education to it’s position as an opportunity equalizer, called on Education stakeholders to key in to the Public Private Community Partnership of his administration, to facilitate the realization of the program.

Governor Soludo who commended the Igwebike Grammar School Awka Alumni Association for giving back to their Alma mater through the renovation of the school’s administrative block, called on other stakeholders to emulate them.
