An impressive and dominant first-half display from Thomas Tuchel’s men secured a halftime 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Goals from Kai, Pulisic, and Zouma are enough for the blues to displace Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool from the Champions League spot, 4th position on the EPL table.
Both Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic have endured difficult seasons thus far, with both facing lengthy spells on the sidelines either through injury or simply not in the manager’s plans.
The duo showed no signs of rust or carrying any knocks in the opening exchanges against Crystal Palace, however, with Havertz and Pulisic scoring within seconds of each other to put Thomas Tuchel’s side in the driving seat.
Pulisic then added a second goal in the closing stages to cap off the victory.
Liverpool’s last gasp win at home to Aston Villa means the pressure is back on Chelsea in the race for top four, but the Blues’ rampant display helped them to a comfortable 4-1
