Musa stated this in an interview with Newsmen in Bauchi on Thursday.

According to her, the approach is aimed to ensure all pregnant mothers are adequately equipped and clearly understood the required information.

She said that modules were designed to capture all seven ANC sessions for pregnant women.

“We started a cohort learning by pairing the women according to their Expected Dates of Delivery (EDD).

“A module was designed to cover all information on danger signs,” she said.

“Others are preeclampsia, bleeding, Gender based Violence, post natal clinics infections amongst others.

“We teach them how to take vital signs and we conduct practical sessions where they are paired for us to know their level of understanding of all the knowledge acquired,” she added.

She said that the mothers were trained on vital signs and a healthy diet for children and pregnant women.

Musa said that the cohorts were segmented into various groups based one number of ANC visits.
