The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Mr. Peter Obi says he is committed to sacrificing his life than failing as the President of Nigeria.
Mr Obi who was the guest at the Editors Forum in Lagos, said he was ready to lead with solutions.
According to him, “If Nigerians hire me, I will tell them good stories, I will not remind them of their past, you are not hiring the new person to remind you of your past, I will not give excuses or complain.”
Deal With Security
The LP Presidential Candidate said leadership was everything and he was going to be the Commander-in-Chief and deal with Security headlong.
He also said he would deal with security, energy issues using technology to move Nigeria from consumption to production. “I will declare war on energy and declare war on power generation, I will not give excuses, the job of the leader is not excuses or complain.”
The LP Candidate promised to reduce rascality, waste and cost of governance with a proper strategy to make things work.
He advised Nigerians to investigate the past activities of the Presidential candidates to determine their suitability for the office “The job of the President requires, character, competence, capacity, ability, commitment to start doing things right, it requires mental and physical capacity.”
The 2023 elections according to him, should not be based on ethnicity, reĺigion or certificate but should be on the character of the candidate.
He added that he became a governor by Grace and he wouldn’t abuse grace.
