Katsina Assembly to screen commissioner-nominees July 24

The Katsina State House of Assembly has fixed Monday, July 24 for the commencement of screening of the 20 commissioner-nominees submitted to it by Governor Dikko Radda.

Speaker of the assembly, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya-Daura, announced this after the adoption of the list of the commissioner-nominees during plenary on Wednesday.

The Majority Leader, Alhaji Shamsuddeen Dabai, had, during plenary, read the names of the commissioner-nominees presented by the governor.

The nominees included: Prof. Ahmed Muhammad (from Bakori Local Government Area), Alhaji Ishaq Shehu-Dabai (Danja LGA), Associate Prof. Badamasi Charanchi (Charanchi LGA) and Dr Nasir Danmusa (Danmusa LGA).

Others were: Malam Bala Salisu (Zango LGA), Prof. Abdulhamid Ahmed (Mani LGA), Alhaji Musa Adamu (Funtua LGA), Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu-Jirdede (Mai’adaua LGA), Alhaji Aliyu Lawal-Zakari (Dutsi LGA), Alhaji Bishir Tanimu-Gambo (Dutsin-Ma) and Hajiya Fadila Muhammad-Dikko (Kurfi LGA).

Alhaji Hamza Sulaiman (Faskari LGA), Alhaji Isah Musa (Kankara LGA), Dr Sani Magaji (Ingawa LGA), Dr Faisal Umar (Kaita LGA) and Alhaji Bello Husaini-Kagara (Kafur LGA) also made the list.

The remaining nominees were: Dr Bishir Gambo-Saulawa (Katsina LGA), Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua (Katsina LGA), Hajiya Zainab Musawa (Musawa LGA) and Alhaji Adnan Nahabu (Daura LGA).
