NASS Majority Leader empowers over 2,000 constituents

The majority leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives has empowered two thousand (2,000) constituents with cash, food items and other materials.

Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, who represents Tudun Wada/ Doguwa Federal Constituency in Kano state northwestern Nigeria, said he would continue to support his people to cushion the economic hardship caused a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I embarked on these empowerment programs knowing the conditions of my People fully at this time of untold hardship and high costs of essential Commodities.

“The empowerment would continue until I’m sure that its impact has subsequently reduced poverty and hardship amongst my Constituents,” said Doguwa.

Special guest of honour at the event and the wife of Kano state governor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje commended the lawmaker for the gesture. They urged his colleagues at both national and State Assembly chambers to emulate him.

She said, “Apart from his outright performances as House of Representatives member, not only to Kano but to every Nigerian, Doguwa’s unalloyed loyalty to the APC and the Federal Government is enough to secure him a ticket to be our next Speaker.

“Today amongst all the House of Representatives members from Kano, there is no one like him, who consistently remains with his People’s both physically and materially.

“You can see today, he is sharing N70 Million cash to Women and Youth to start their businesses, and he is giving out hundreds of 50kg of Rice, Fertilizer,  tricycles free to empower his People.”

The items distributed include; seventy million Naira to women and youths, one hundred and three tricycles, two trailers of 50kg rice, and three trailers of fertilizer distributed equally to 2 local governments under the constituency is Tudun Wada and Doguwa.

During the programs, 27 Recruits of State Road Traffic control Agency KAROTA Officers were employed and uniformed by the Majority Leader to cover border towns withinTudunwada, Doguwa Local Governments areas of the State. The event took place at Dadin Kowa town of Doguwa local government area.
