NCF Invitational Women’s T20i: Nigeria Falls To Tanzania
On Day 2 of the NCF Invitational Women’s T20i, Tanzania beat the Female Yellow Greens of Nigeria by 49 runs to clinch victory, at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos.
Nigeria only afforded 85 runs on the board during their batting, dropping eight wickets in 20 overs, while Tanzania got 134 runs dropping only four wickets in 20 overs.
Tanzania’s Saumu Godfrey Mtae (38 runs) and Perice Zakayo Kamunya (30 runs) played brilliantly as Nigeria’s response fell short as they managed only 85/8 in 20 overs, succumbing to Tanzania’s pressure.
Kamunya’s exceptional bowling performance earned her the Player of the Match, securing 4 wickets with an impressive economy rate of 1.75
Rwanda Vs Sierra Leone
In the other match, Rwanda, in their second innings, cruised to victory with Uwase Merveille and Ishimwe Gisele’s stellar performances, winning Sierra Leone by 10 wickets.
