The Secretary to the Niger State Government in North-Central Nigeria, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has reiterated Government’s commitment to the welfare of workers of the State.
The SSG disclosed this when he received the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Niger State Council led by the State Chairman, Comrade Idris Lafene.
Matane said: “Niger state government has accorded priority attention to policies and programmes that have direct bearing on workers and will continue to strive to consolidate the gains recorded for the betterment of their condition of service and welfare to the highest possible limit.“
The SSG who assured the Executive Committee of the NLC that Government would do all that is necessary to ensure that industrial harmony continues to prevail in Niger State.
He urged members of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the State to remain committed to their responsibilities so that collectively they can achieve the highest levels of efficiency and productivity that will fast-track the socio-economic development of our State.
The State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Niger State Council, Comrade Idris Lafene has earlier solicited for cordial rapport between the Executive Committee of NLC and the State Government.
