Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have thwarted multiple terrorist attacks in Pulka and Mandaragirau, Borno State.
According to the spokesperson of the operation, Lt Col Sani Uba, the attacks occurred late on February 14, 2026, with terrorists targeting defensive positions in both locations.
However, the troops demonstrated exceptional courage and operational superiority, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers.
In Pulka, terrorists launched a determined assault on Sector 1, but were repelled by the troops. The attackers suffered severe casualties, including the death of a senior commander, Abou Aisha.
In Mandaragirau, troops of Sector 2 came under a coordinated attack by ISWAP terrorists, but successfully thwarted the assault.
Some personnel and Civilian Joint Task Force members lost their lives in the defence of their location.
The Military High Command has commended the bravery and professionalism of the troops, noting that the failed attacks reflect the growing desperation of terrorist elements.
