The Nigeria Government, through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has commenced the registration of all categories of Artisans nationwide, whether trained by NDE or not for assistance.
Ebonyi state NDE State Coordinator, Don Anaba disclosed this in Abakaliki, the State Capital.
The registration exercise covers other skills like: Auto-mobile mechanics, Mechatronics, Auto-Electrical, Welding, Plumbing, Cabinet, carpentry and joinery, Barbing, Catering and Hotel Management, Furniture Making, GSM Repairs, Computer Operations, Maintenance and Programming, Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Tailoring and Fashion Designing, Tie and Die, Shoe and Bag Making among others.
Anaba called on all the residents to “visit any of the following Centres nearest to you at NDE State office @ Unity Square Secretariat, Amagu Street, Abakaliki, All the 13 LGA headquarters in Ebonyi State and Office of the Mechanic Union, mechanic village, Abakaliki,” For registration.
The State Coordinator further said the registration commenced on Monday 17th July,2023 and closes on the 28th July, 2023.
He noted that the Registration is completely free.
