The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) have described Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s victory in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election as a clear reflection of the people’s confidence in his administration and the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, the group said the victory affirmed Governor Oyebanji’s Shared Prosperity Agenda and its alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision for Nigeria.
The group commended the people of Ekiti State for what it described as a peaceful, transparent and well-attended election, while also congratulating the South-West Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Dayo Adeyeye, alongside the state and local government coordinators for their roles in the success.
The group also praised President Tinubu for creating an enabling environment through his reforms and policies, which it said contributed to the APC’s victory at the polls.
According to the statement, “the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma; Deputy Director-General and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; Secretary and Gombe State Governor, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya; and other APC governors deserve commendation for their efforts toward the party’s success.”
The group noted that Governor Oyebanji’s first term recorded visible achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, healthcare and education, adding that the renewed mandate is a call for greater service delivery in his second term.
Looking ahead, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors said their focus would now shift to securing victory for the APC in the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, while continuing to promote the achievements and reforms of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The group urged Governor Oyebanji to remain inclusive and magnanimous in victory and reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising support for policies that promote development in Ekiti State and across the country.
