The Tanimu Turaki – Led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says millions of Nigerians have continued to demonstrate confidence in the party, despite recent challenges, as reflected in the ongoing digital membership registration exercise nationwide.

Addressing a press briefing in Abuja, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, provided an interim update on the e-registration process, describing it as both demanding and successful.

According to him, despite the tight timeline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the party successfully deployed a digital platform, mobilised volunteers, and conducted registration across wards in both rural and urban communities.

He disclosed that as of midnight on March 31, 2026, a total of 4,264,675 members had been registered on the party’s portal.

“While our actual membership exceeds this figure, we commend Nigerians who have remained steadfast with the party despite recent challenges. Their commitment underscores the responsibility on our leadership to safeguard their political future,” Ememobong said.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary noted that the development indicates that while some politicians may defect, the electorate remain largely loyal to the PDP.
