A virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council is going on at the Council Chambers of the presidential villa, Abuja, with President Muhammadu Buhari chairing the meeting.
Physically present at the meeting are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and Head of the Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan.
Also present are some Ministers. They include; Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Justice, Abubakar Malami, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and that of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, among others.
Other cabinet members are participating virtually from their respective offices in Abuja.
Shortly before the commencement of the meeting, Ministers took turns to rejoice with Vice President Osinbajo, who is attending the meeting physically for the first time since he underwent surgery in July. He had attended two cabinet meetings virtually while recuperating from the surgery.
