The landscape of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has shifted, following the conclusion of Match Day 28, as Rangers International officially moved to the top of the standings after a 2-0 victory against Nasarawa United.
Despite a hard-fought win at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Rangers International capitalised on the misfortunes of their direct rivals, Ikorodu City and Rivers United, to seize control of the title race.

Goals from Godwin Obaje in the 18th minute and and Chidiebere Nwobodo in the 26th minute secured all three (3) points for Rangers.
Rangers are now one point ahead of Rivers United, who have 46 points and three outstanding matches.
Match day 28 will be rounded off in Kano on Monday when Barau FC play hosts to Plateau United at the Sani Abacha Stadium from 4pm.
