The deputy governor of Kwara state, North-central Nigeria, Mr Kayode Alabi, has assured the people of the state of more dividends of democracy, if the All Progressives Congress (APC) is given another opportunity under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is seeking a re-election.
Deputy Governor Alabi gave the assurance during a visit to his hometown Oro-Ago in Ifelodun local government area of the state to solicit the support of his people for the re-election bid of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
‘The APC is the party to beat; the successes recorded by the APC in the state in just over three years outweigh that of the opposition in sixteen years.
‘Any government where the dividends of democracy is felt, especially at the grassroots as demonstrated by this administration deserves another term to do even better,’ he said.
The people of Oro Ago, in response, assured him of their support, recalling that while their community was one of those neglected by previous administrations, the present State government had indeed
reached out to them in all sectors including agriculture, education infrastructure and welfare, among other notable areas.
Also speaking, Hon. Tijani Ismail, member representing Ifelodun/ Offa/ Oyun constituency of the state at the Federal House of Representatives,  assured them of better representation, if re-elected for a second term.
The deputy governor’s entourage had earlier visited the traditional ruler’s palace to solicit the prayers and support of the royal father, Oba Johnson Olanrewaju Dada.
