400 youths receive entrepreneurship, ICT training in Ebonyi state

400 youths from Ebonyi North Zonal constituency have received training in ICT and entrepreneurship, to empower them  and create employment in Ebonyi state.

The training, sponsored by the Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial district, eeks to curb digital gap and ensure the utilisation of ICT tp create wealth.
Dr Egwu said the training and the empowerment program became necessary based on the fact that the world has become digitised.
The Senator who is still re-contesting his Senatorial position in the general election slated for Saturday 25 February, 2023  pledged that more could be done to alleviate all Ebonyi people from poverty and to upgrade their mental capacity to international standards.
Speaking during the event in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State Capital, Mr Micheal Nwambam who represented the Senator urged all who have been trained and empowered to go out there, make good use of the empowerment skills they have obtained to improve the society at large.
“Apart from the training and empowerment you have received, you are going home with these over 400 Laptops arranged here to further support your training. Go to the world and explore on information and communicate Technology ICT,” he said.
The Training was done in collaboration with the Center For Satellite Technology Development of National Space Research and Development Agency NASRDA.
The Director- General of NASRDA Mr Alidu Shaba, represented by the Deputy Director Administration, Mr Jamin Bamidele  said the the training was also an entrepreneurship and Leadership skill empowerment for the constituents of Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone.
He said the program was part of 2022 Zonal intervention project for Ebonyi North Senatorial district.
Some of the Beneficiaries Mrs Adaeze Nwuzor from Ebonyi local Government, Ali Sunday from Ohaukwu Local Government, Nwibo Enerst from Izzi LGA and Pius Nwobeji promised to make good use of the training and empowerment.
