Information Minister to Chair 2024 Journalism Awards

Alhaji Mohammed Idris FNIPR, the Nigerian Minister of Information and National Orientation, is set to preside over the 6th edition of the Campus Journalism Awards as the chairman.

The prestigious event, themed “Thriving in the 21st Century Media Landscape,” seeks to honor excellence in journalism while fostering national unity and progress.

The awards ceremony is set to take place on December 7, 2024, at Cosmopolitan University in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

 

Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace MNIPR, Director General/CEO of Voice of Nigeria, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, while Comrade Auwal Ibrahim Musa (Rafsanjani), Executive Director of CISLAC and Board of Trustee Chairman for Amnesty International (Nigeria), will serve as the Chief Host.

According to a statement by the event coordinator, Mallam Gidado Shuaib, with over 200 entries submitted from various institutions, the Campus Journalism Awards 2024 is set to be an inspiring showcase of excellence in journalism.
