Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) defeated Vipers and Partners Volleyball Club (VIP Spikers) of Nigeria 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-19), at the 2026 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

KCB seized early control in each set, combining disciplined blocking with aggressive floor defence to stifle the Nigerian attack.

Vipers and Partners showed flashes of brilliance with spirited rallies, but struggled against KCB’s experienced attackers who repeatedly exploited defensive gaps.

The identical set scores reflected KCB’s consistency, as the Kenyans maintained control and never allowed their intensity to drop as they saw out the encounter.

18 clubs are competing in the championship, divided into four groups across the tournament.

Pool A includes Al Ahly of Egypt, Mayo Kani of Cameroon, C.O. Descartes of Cote d’Ivoire and National Alcohol Factory of Ethiopia.

Pool B features Kenya Pipeline, La Loi of DR Congo, Sococim of Senegal, Kalubi Sporting Club of Ghana and Gender Light of Burundi.

Pool C comprises C.F. Carthage of Tunisia, Nigeria Customs Service, Kenya’s DCI, Kampala Capital City Authority and Eagles of Congo.

Pool D includes KCB, Litto Team of Cameroon, Vipers and Partners of Nigeria, and Arsu of Seychelles.

The 2026 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship, which began on April 11th, will conclude on April 24th in Cairo.
