North-East Governors Felicitate Muslims On Eid Al-Adha Celebration

Adamawa State Governor in Northeast Nigeria, Ahmadu Fintiri, has felicitated with all Muslims in Adamawa, Nigeria, and the world on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
Eid Al-Adha, which is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant celebration in the Islamic calendar.
“This day reminds us of the importance of selflessness, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in our lives,” Fintiri said.
He acknowledges the profound spiritual significance of the occasion and recognizes the immense contributions of the Muslim community in promoting peace, unity, and progress in Adamawa State.
The Governor commends the resilience and steadfastness of the Muslim faithful, especially during these challenging times, as they continue to demonstrate love, compassion, and generosity towards fellow citizens.
“As we celebrate Eid Al-Adha, I urge Muslims in Adamawa State to deepen their commitment to the principles of peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence,” he re-emphasized.
While emphasizing the need for religious tolerance, understanding, and respect for one another’s beliefs, Governor Fintiri encourages Muslims to use this festive occasion to foster stronger bonds of friendship, love, and compassion within their families, communities, and the entire state.
The Governor appealed to all citizens to use this auspicious period to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity and to contribute selflessly towards the development and progress of Adamawa State.
Meanwhile, the Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum in his Eid message, prayed for peace across the nation and urged Borno State indigene to be law abiding and be their brother’s keepers at all times.
He observed the 2023 Eid Al Adha prayer at the Ramat square in Maiduguri alongside the Shehu of Borno Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al Amin El-kami with other top government functionaries.
The 2 raka’at prayer was led by the Iman Shettima Idaini at exactly 9:15 am.
Some of the faithful at the Eid ground were Borno State’s former governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, 2 former deputy governors, the immediate past IG Alkali Baba, Borno State House of assembly speaker Abdulkarim Lawan, Senator Ali Ndume, Senator Mohammed Monguno among others.
