Emmanuel Dennis put up a brilliant performance to help Watford to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

The Hornets have looked down and out in recent weeks, as they have won just one of their last 17 games in all competitions in their battle to remain in the English Premier League (EPL).

However, their fortunes got a positive change when they travelled to Southampton, who themselves had not been in good form, losing their previous two games.

At Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi watched proceedings from the bench for the second game in a row as Everton fell to a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were on the losing side after Leicester City fell 2-0 away to Arsenal.

In the French Ligue 1, Terem Moffi and Bonke Innocent of Lorient claimed an away 2-0 win over Clermont Foot in their battle to beat relegation.
