The Akpoazaa Foundation has awarded scholarships to 11 students in Anambra State as part of an educational support initiative aimed at reducing financial barriers to learning.

The scholarships were presented during a recent community event in Uhudim Uhuobo, Okija, in Ihiala Local Government Area.

The beneficiaries, consisting of two secondary school students and nine primary school pupils, were selected based on merit and need. The initiative seeks to ease the burden on families striving to provide quality education for their children.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akpoazaa Foundation, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, highlighted the importance of education in shaping the future of young Nigerians, emphasising that investment in youth is an investment in the nation’s progress.

He also used the occasion to acknowledge the sacrifices made by mothers in supporting their children’s education.

Community leaders and religious figures present at the event commended the effort, calling on more individuals to contribute to educational empowerment initiatives.

The scholarships, they noted, would provide much-needed relief for the recipients and their families, fostering better opportunities for academic success.
