The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf on Monday sworn in 17 commissioners cleared by the state house of assembly.
Governor, Yusuf assigned all the new commissioners portfolios after the swearing in, saying that “They should get ready for the task ahead.”
Although two of the commissioner nominees are yet to be screened by the assembly as they are presently undergoing Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
The Commissioners with their portfolios are; Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Local Government, Haruna Umar Doguwa, Education, Ali Haruna Makoda Water Resources , Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf Health , Engr. Marwan Ahmad Works and Housing , Barr. Haruna Dederi Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Dr. Yusuf Kofar Mata , Higher Education, Nasiru Sule Garo Environment and Engr. Muhammad Diggol Transportation.
Others are, Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud ,Agriculture , Musa Sulaiman Shanono Budget and Planning , Abbas Sani Abbas , Commerce ,Aisha Lawan Saji Ministry of Women, Children and Disabled (To be sworn after she return from Hajj), Ladidi Ibrahim Abba Tourism and Culture , Sheikh Tijjani Auwal Religious Affairs (To be sworn after he return from Hajj), Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information, Tajo Usman Ungogo Science and Technology ,Hamza Safiyanu Rural and Community Development and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya Land and Physical Planning
