National Youth Service Corps tasks Members On Discipline

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC ) in Nigeria, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah has advised Corps Members to embrace discipline, hard-work and selfless service during and after their service year.

In a statement signed by the Public relations Officer, Mr. Eddy Megwa, the Director General of the Scheme stated this on Sunday while addressing Corps Members during his visit to Zamfara and Katsina States, North- West Nigeria in preparation for the forthcoming 2022 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course.

The DG noted that as leaders, they should avoid getting-rich-quick syndrome in order to have a better future.

Speaking on Corps members safety, Fada advised the Corps Members not to embark on any unauthorized journey and also avoid night journeys.

He urged them to be security conscious and take care of their personal safety, “Don’t travel at night and obtain permission from NYSC if it is compulsory that you travel,” the DG said.

While in Katsina, the Director General also paid a courtesy visit to the Commander, 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General IA Ajose.

General Fadah thanked the Brigade for its support for NYSC Katsina State, especially accommodation, welfare for Corps Members serving at the brigade and sponsorship of activities during orientation exercises.

He solicited for more support for the Scheme in future engagements especially on Corps security.
