NGX: Investors record N63bn gain on Market Capitalisation

The market capitalisation of listed equities trading on the floor of the Nigeria Exchange Group Limited, NGX started on a positive trajectory this week as investors gained N63 billion on Monday.
This is extended last week’s bull run as the trading session ended at N26.291 trillion with additional N63 billion higher than the N26.228 trillion recorded on Friday.
Similarly, the NGX All-Share Index appreciated by 0.24 percent, representing a 115.59 basis points to close at 48,270.23 on Monday compared to the 48,154.64 recorded on Friday.
The trading session closed with a total volume of 645,025 million units of shares that exchanged hands in 3,486 deals.
At the end of the day, the market sentiment when measured by market was positive with 19 gainers and 16 losers.
On price gain, GUINNESS Nigeria led the gainers list with 10 percent gain on its share prices to close at N69.30k. Eterna followed with an 8.78 percent gain to close at N6.44k. Then Royal Exchange Insurance Plc had an 8.33 percent gain on its share price to close at  N0.78k.
Geregu led the decliners’ chart with a 9.85 percent loss on its share price to close at N110.70k followed by SCOA which had a 9.43 percent to close at N0.96k and THOMASWY 9.09 percent to close at N0.40k.
