Nigeria Army Women Corps to begin field training exercise

The Nigerian Army Women Corps, NAWC, will begin a 7-day field Training Exercise, FTX, for its troops from 27 August- September 2, 2022, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Nigerian Army Women Corps, Captain Hashimu Abdullahi, said; “the training exercise is designed to test the troop’s leadership skills, physical fitness, teamwork, Military operations other than war among other military drills.

“The exercise would also provide a platform to ascertain troops’ preparedness towards supporting all the Nigerian Army’s engagements.’’


Consequently, communities living around the training ground Giri-Gwagwalada general area in Abuja are enjoined not to panic on seeing mass movement of military personnel, vehicles and equipment in the general area during the exercise.

Furthermore, members of the communities are advised to stay away from the exercise area during the entire period of the exercise.
