The National Bureau of Statistics has said Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product grew by 3.11 percent in the first quarter of 2022.
This is contained in a public announcement issued by the Bureau on its official Twitter page, @NBS_Nigeria, on Monday. The NBS also released its GDP Report for Q1 2022 on its website.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.11% (year-on-year) in real terms in the first quarter of 2022, showing a sustained positive growth for six consecutive quarters since the recession witnessed in 2020. The NBS wrote, “Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.11% (year-on-year) in real terms in the first quarter of 2022, showing a sustained positive growth for six consecutive quarters since the recession witnessed in 2020.”
Also the Bureau stated that “the first quarter 2022 growth rate further represents an improvement in economic performance.”
