President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Riyadh to attend the Saudi-Africa Summit.
President Tinubu departed Abuja on Thursday for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to participate in the Saudi-Africa Summit, slated to be held in Riyadh on November 10, 2023.
During the Saudi-Africa Summit, the Nigerian leader will highlight Nigeria’s dedication to attracting increased foreign direct investment and enhancing business collaborations, supported by the ongoing economic reforms being implemented by his administration.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, earlier stated that discussions at the first Saudi-Africa Summit will revolve around supporting joint action, enhancing political coordination, addressing regional security threats, facilitating economic transformation through research and the local development of new energy solutions while bolstering cross-sectoral investment cooperation.
On the President’s entourage are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun; the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu; and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu.
Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have maintained a fruitful mechanism of bilateral consultations and coordination between them since the establishment of formal diplomatic relations in 1961, according to the Nigerian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yahaya Lawal.
