NFF Clarifies Absence of Super Falcons’ Abuja Trophy Parade.

Nigeria’s senior women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, received a hero’s welcome today as they returned to the country following their impressive performance at the recently concluded WAFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.

Hundreds of fans, officials, and well-wishers were on standby to cheer the team as they arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The Super Falcons were accompanied by a convoy of security vehicles, cultural dancers and enthusiastic supporters waving flags and singing praise songs.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, led government officials and was accompanied by the Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo and other dignitries in receiving the team at the airport.

The players and officials will be hosted later at a state reception at the Presidential Villa, where President Tinubu is expected to formally commend the team and announce national honours and rewards for their achievements.
