Anambra State Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has met with the US Consul-General, William Stevens, to explore areas of possible strategic partnerships, corporate alliances, technologies and innovation with the United States of America (USA).
As part of Governor Soludo’s commitment to harnessing technology for the holistic development of the state, the meeting took place in Lagos at the US Consulate General. The gathering, attended by leaders from prominent US high-tech companies and Governor Soludo’s team, aimed to explore collaborative opportunities across various sectors.
It is an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships for economic development and shared technologies for shared prosperity between Anambra State, Anambra tech companies, and their United States of America counterparts.
This aligns with Governor Soludo’s initiative to strategically collaborate and partner with individuals and companies, fostering the development and advancement of the state. The focus is on unlocking the state’s full potential, particularly in the areas of technology and innovation.
It would be recalled that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) have also selected Anambra State as one of the priority states for promotion as a major destination for global investment because of recent sustained economic reforms by the Soludo government.

Governor Soludo’s administration has partnered with the Solution Innovation District (SID) to train a new digital tribe. This program has impacted approximately 40,000 people in Anambra, with over 25,000 young individuals acquiring new technological skills that have made them both productive and employable.

Google, Amazon, KPMG, Africa Data Centers, Shakel Mobility Africa, Amazon Web Services, VISA, Energy, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, ATC, META, PWC, SLB, TechStars, VDL Technologies, Dell, HP, IBM, NCR Corporation, Dow Chemicals, Tek Experts, American Business Council, US Commercial Service, US Consulate General, and Amani Health.
The delegation from Anambra State was headed by the Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu. The team also included Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Managing Director of Anambra State ICT Agency, and Ms. Chinwe Okoli, Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation.
