Reacting to the nomination, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Onifade on behalf of the Director General of the Scheme, Brigadier General Yisha’u Dogara Ahmed, and the entire NYSC family, appreciated the Governor for the honour bestowed on the ex-corps member which he described as a clear testimony of the passion the governor has for the youths.
The State Coordinator said that the kind gesture of the Governor was an incontrovertible fact that given the right atmosphere, the youths can excel in whatever capacity they are placed considering the training they had undergone throughout the service year.
“Your consideration of someone who has just finished the service has filled the Scheme and the entire youth constituency in the state with a strong sense of pride and I would like to appreciate you (governor) for this rare feat and singular honour done to boost the morale of the youths”.
The NYSC boss said that considering the enormous responsibilities, the Governor has once again reiterated his commitment towards youth development, and this has placed his administration above others in similar responsibility, and has demonstrated his passion to reckon with the youths.
He stated further that the governor’s continued support for the Scheme and the youths was a clear example that the youth-friendly leadership style of the governor is worthy of emulation.
The NYSC boss used the platform to congratulate the Commissioner-designate, Miss Musa Nafisat Buge on the honour bestowed on her and asserted that she would continue to remain a proud ambassador of the Scheme.
“It is on record that Miss Buge served the nation diligently and meritoriously by contributing her quota to the development of the fatherland.
“The nominee is indeed a true patriot with exceptional zeal who participated profoundly in both community and national development”.
NYSC boss said her nomination did not come as a surprise because NYSC is known to prepare the youths for such positions of leadership.
“Her nomination” he added, “will drive the governor’s agenda towards fulfilling his mandate and bringing the dividends of democracy to the good people of Kwara State”.
