The Gombe State All Progressives Congress, APC, has assured the public in the state that the party is not in any form of crisis, but remained one united family under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Addressing journalists in Gombe, the Gombe state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Moses Kyari Bolda, said that despite the little hitches being experienced by the party, the APC as a party was still standing strong to win in the 2023 elections.

What seemed like a crisis was just one man’s struggle to control the party structure in the state, but apparently losing relevance in the party.

“By the constitution of the party, the leader in the state is the governor. It can’t be otherwise any other place. Now, the Governor of Gombe State is Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, but the Senator, Danjuma Goje is insisting that he should be the leader and must dictate what happens in the state, who gets what, who goes where. But the governor in his characteristic gentleman’s manner had told him, No Sir. I am the Governor and the box stops on my table. That is what he is finding it difficult to understand,” said Bolda.

He said the loyalty of the party is to Governor Yahaya, even though some party members still pledging their loyalty to Senator Goje.

According to the Gombe APC Publicity Secretary, the party in Gombe State will get over the present challenge and come out stronger.

Concerning the rumoured resignation of all executive members of all wards in Yamaltu Deba LGA, Mr. Kyari said a petition was writen to the police, investigations conducted and one Yayari was arrested and charged to court for the misleading story.

He said the police was still investigating the matter to uncover all parties involve, with a view to prosecuting them.

The Gombe APC gave the assurances of the Governor’s resolve to continually create a level playing ground for all poiticians, irrespective of party affiliations, to provide and sustain the prevailing peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed in Gombe State.
