The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims of a withdrawal of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition, describing the report as false and orchestrated by “faceless elements”.

In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Auwalu Abdullahi, the APC said the purported declaration by a group identified as the “Arewa APC Forum” lacks credibility and does not reflect the position of the party.

“The APC in Kano is aware of attempts by certain individuals and faceless groups to create confusion and disunity within the party. We wish to state categorically that this so-called forum is not known to the party structure,” the statement read.
The party stressed that no recognised organ within its ranks has taken any decision to withdraw support for President Tinubu, reaffirming its full commitment to his administration and re-election bid.

Under the leadership of Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, the APC in Kano maintained that it remains united and focused on supporting the President’s agenda of economic reforms, good governance, and national development.

Describing the claim as the handiwork of mischief-makers, the party urged members and the public to disregard the statement entirely, warning against attempts to create unnecessary tension within its fold.

“The so-called signatory to the purported withdrawal is faceless and not a stakeholder of the party at any level in Kano,” the statement added.

The APC concluded by reiterating its loyalty to President Tinubu’s vision, emphasising that the party in Kano stands solidly behind his leadership and second-term aspiration.
