The Nasarawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says it will provide a level playing field for aspirants to test their popularity in the forthcoming party primaries.
APC chairman in the state, Dr Aliyu Bello, stated this during a world press conference held in Lafia, the state capital.
According to him, the party remains firmly committed to the principles of internal democracy, noting that no aspirants will be disadvantaged as party guidelines will be strictly adhered to by the party.
Bello said that the party has put in place a well-coordinated framework to ensure transparent, free, fair and credible primaries in Nasarawa State, in compliance with the electoral act, party constitution and the approved guidelines for the 2026 primaries.
Bello called on all Party faithful to conduct themselves with maturity, restraint, and a high sense of responsibility throughout and after the electioneering period.
“Politics should not be a source of division, but rather a platform for strengthening our shared vision and collective aspirations.
“AS we move forward, we encourage continuous dialogue, mutual respect, and strict adherence to Party guidelines,” Bello said.
He commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for implementing far-reaching developmental programmes and reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, improving infrastructure, and enhancing national security.
