President Tinubu Celebrates Gov Umo Eno’s Birthday, Commends Leadership

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a committed leader dedicated to the welfare of his people.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined the governor’s family and the people of Akwa Ibom State in celebrating the milestone marked on April 24.

President Tinubu praised Governor Eno’s leadership style, noting that he has distinguished himself as “a diligent apostle of people-focused leadership”.

The President also commended the governor’s efforts in promoting unity and stability in the state. According to the statement, “President Tinubu particularly commends Governor Eno for ensuring unity, inclusion, and security in the state and for galvanising the Akwa Ibom people to rise to Renewed Hope.”

Highlighting the importance of cohesion in governance, the President emphasised that “unity and peace are central to progress and development”, adding that Pastor Eno “has demonstrated a strong aptitude for blurring artificial lines, bringing people together, and inspiring them towards a common goal”.

The President further lauded the governor’s social welfare initiatives, including housing and food support programmes for vulnerable groups. He noted “the provision of furnished, solar-powered homes to the indigent and the distribution of food to thousands of vulnerable households in the state” as key interventions improving lives.

President Tinubu expressed appreciation for the governor’s continued support and offered prayers for his well-being. The statement read that the President “thanks the governor for his support and prays that God Almighty grant him more years of good health as he continues to work for the advancement of the Akwa Ibom people and the nation.”
