Rangers International have returned to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table, after a 2-1 win over Enyimba FC in their Match Day 35 encounter.
The match, which was played behind closed doors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, saw the two teams without a goal in the first half.

In the second half, Enyimba opened the scoring in the 48th minute through Wonah Williams with a shot from outside the box.
The home side equalised through defender Chiedozie Iwundu, who slotted the ball behind the goalkeeper during a goal-mouth scramble in the 61st minute.
Rangers extended its lead through defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi in the 68th minute to brighten the team’s hope of winning the league twice in two years.
Enyimba fought hard, throwing in everything they had to level scores, but could not find the net as the match ended 2-1.

The victory saw Rangers return to the top of the league with 59 points after 35 games, while second-placed Rivers United are on 58 points after 35 matches.
For Enyimba, they are in 13th place with 43 points from 35 games.
