The Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the FCT, Dr. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, has urged Nigerian women to move beyond influence and build lasting institutional impact for national development.

Speaking at the third edition of the PENGASSAN Women Commission Annual Convention, she stressed that visibility alone is insufficient without structures that sustain progress and legacy.

She described women as critical drivers of national growth, calling for a shift toward systems, partnerships, and intentional leadership that deliver measurable outcomes.

Dr. Benjamins-Laniyi also emphasised resilience, collaboration, and inclusiveness, encouraging women to create opportunities for others and support collective advancement.

She concluded by urging participants to transform dialogue into action, ensuring the convention serves as a launchpad for scalable impact and long-term development.
