President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been commended by residents of Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) over ongoing road construction projects in satellite towns being executed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) under the Minister, Nyesom Wike.

One of the residents, Prosper Onyenaucheya, spoke during the Minister’s inspection of the Kubwa–Gbazango Road project, also known as Arab Road, on Friday. He praised the FCTA for prioritising infrastructure projects with direct impact on communities.

During the inspection, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on several projects, including the Karu township roads, Apo–Karshi Road, and Kubwa–Gbazango Road.

Wike disclosed that many of the projects are expected to be commissioned to mark the third anniversary of the Tinubu administration.

He reaffirmed the FCTA’s commitment to expanding road infrastructure across the territory while also improving environmental sanitation and urban development in Abuja.

Speaking further, Onyenaucheya described the progress of work as impressive, noting that the projects have positively impacted residents.

The Minister also confirmed that the Karu township roads would be among those slated for inauguration during the anniversary celebrations.

He commended Abdul Val Nigeria Ltd, the contractor handling the Karu Road project from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction, citing the quality of work and the capacity of local contractors to deliver when given the opportunity.

On the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, Wike expressed confidence that the project would be completed and ready for commissioning in June.
