Speakers at the 2026 Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) Women’s Annual Convention (PWAC) in Abuja have called on women leaders to embrace visibility, redefine productivity and focus on measurable impact.

At the event themed “The Dynamic Woman Shaping Tomorrow: Influence, Impact, and Legacy”, brand strategist Emily Wale Koya outlined a framework for building influence and legacy.

She said, “Make sure you deliver on the job. Make sure you have excellence in what you do. Make sure you have comfort.”

Presenting her model, she stated, “I want to share with us here today, because of time, what I call my visa framework. Visa. V-I-S-A.”

Koya explained, “So my visa framework, that is it right there: Voice, Identity, Story, Amplification. Voice, Identity, Story and Amplification.”

On positioning, she said: “Voice basically is what you stand for. What do you stand for?”

Emphasising visibility, she charged, “Invisibility is expensive.”

Koya urged participants to expand their reach, saying: “Amplification; whatever you are doing in your organisation, please go outside your organisation. Use the visa framework to amplify your voice. Use it to build visibility. Use it to lead, influence and be unforgettable.”

Also speaking, the Founder of African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO), Elisha Attai, called for a shift from busyness to impact-driven leadership.

Founder of African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) Elisha Attai,

He said: “For decades, we have been told that leadership is a marathon of hard work. But here is the hard truth: busyness is not a business model, and exhaustion is not an achievement.”

Attai emphasised: “We are moving away from the grind and toward measurable impact. We are not just here to work harder; we are here to lead better.”

On productivity, he noted: “Hard work measures the hours you put in; impact measures the value that comes out.”

Attai also stressed intentionality: “Purpose acts as a filter. Without it, every task seems urgent. With it, only the right tasks become important.”

The AWLO founder advised: “Delegation is not just about offloading work; it is about developing your team.”

Stakeholders and participants agreed that visibility and impact are critical. They also emphasised intentional leadership and clear value, urging PENGASSAN Women to drive lasting change.
