Women Ministry Convenes Give to Gain Summit

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development is convening a high-level gathering on Women’s Economic Empowerment, Philanthropy and Social Investment in Abuja, Nigeria.

The event, hosted by the Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, tagged “Give to Gain Summit”, will have the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as Special Guest of Honour .

It brings together leaders, investors, philanthropists and changemakers for a defining conversation on the value of giving and national development gains.

The summit, marking the 2026 International Women’s Day commemoration, underscores that investing in women is a strategic imperative.

Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim says, ‘The Give to Gain Commemoration of the 2026 International Women’s Day summit is a call to action. A gathering of those who understand that investing in women is not charity; it is strategy.”

The theme of the convening is “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls.

The Abuja summit will feature a “Digital Inclusion Chat on Driving Digital Inclusion: Expanding Access, Skills, and Opportunity for Women” expert panel conversation on “The Economic Woman: At Home, At Work, on the Frontlines, in the Boardroom: Advancing Women’s Role in Nigeria’s $1 Trillion Economy Agenda”.

Other panels include “Women and Power: Strengthening Inclusive Leadership” and a “SEC Session: Own your wealth: Investor protection, unclaimed dividends/monies and Opportunities in Nigeria’s Capital Market”.
