The Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, says intending pilgrims from the state will commence airlifting on the sixth of May from Ilorin International Airport to Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Abdulkadir stated this at the enlightenment programme organised for all intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj, held at the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board’s premises in Ilorin.
He said the second batch would be airlifted on the 7th of May, while the third batch would have their turn on the 19th of same month.
Vaccination
The Executive Secretary assured that the intending pilgrims would start to collect their vaccinations from next week.
According to him, the Saudi authorities have produced an identity card containing details about pilgrims, to be issued to them immediately they are in Medina to allow them to perform their Hajj rites in Mecca.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Professor Mashood Mahmud-Jimba, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support in ensuring a smooth Hajj operation for the state.
