Kebbi State All Progressives Congress (APC), has held a unity rally in Birnin Kebbi, the State capital, to show support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, expressed appreciation to residents for the large turnout at the rally, describing it as a reflection of public confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership.

Idris said the gathering underscored the state’s position as a stronghold of the APC and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining development efforts.

He described the rally as a milestone, adding that his administration would continue to implement policies aimed at improving livelihoods across the state.

Idris also said Kebbi State had benefited from the current administration, adding that residents remain supportive of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged party members to remain united and committed to the APC.

Earlier, the state APC chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, said the turnout reflected the party’s grassroots strength across the 21 local government areas.

He rejected claims that participants were mobilised from outside the state, describing such assertions as misleading.

The APC women leader in the state, Aisha Gunabi, said the strong participation of women demonstrated their continued support for the party and its leadership.

Alhaji Suleiman Argungu, who is the APC national organising secretary, also stressed the need for internal democracy within the party, urging aspirants to adhere to its rules and guidelines.

The rally featured chants and displays of support for the APC, Tinubu and Idris, with participants pledging continued backing for development and political stability in the state.
