Senator Ahmed Wadada has called on the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirants to come together in a collective interest in building a purposeful Nasarawa State.

He stated this during a press conference held at the NUJ center in Lafia the state capital.

Senator Wadada, who currently represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, calls for unity while recognising the potential for conflict within the party, has been the sole preferred successor for governor Abdullahi Sule.

He commended the conduct of his fellow aspirant throughout the selection process and urged them to view the transition as a collective endeavor.

“At this defining moment, I call on all stakeholders, party leaders, aspirants, and citizens to come together in unity.”

“We must move forward not as individuals or factions, but as one Nasarawa, committed to stability,” he said.

Senator Wadada further unveiled the HEARTS Agenda, a six-pillar governance framework designed to build upon the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS). The acronym represents:

“Human Capital Development Energy and Mineral Resources Agriculture and Green Economy Rural and Urban Renewal Trade and Investment Security”.

He emphasised that his vision is about finishing strong and scaling impact rather than discarding existing progress.

He specifically highlighted Nasarawa’s strategic proximity to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, as a primary corridor for growth and investment that his administration would aggressively leverage.

The Senator pledged that the next phase of development would prioritise job creation, transparency, and the expansion of basic services across the state’s three senatorial zones.
