The Nigeria–South Africa Exchange Fellowship Programme is designed to deepen bilateral ties while equipping participants with skills in climate action, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.

It will bring together emerging leaders from both countries for exchange visits, joint projects, and policy engagement.

In his new role, Chief Nwaka will lead a Nigerian delegation to South Africa and also serve as the primary liaison between UGO and Nigerian institutions, overseeing programme implementation, coordinating the selection of participants, and building partnerships aligned with national priorities.

The Universal Greening Organisation emphasised that the position is honorary and does not constitute formal employment, but represents a strategic collaboration to advance youth empowerment and Pan-African development goals.

The organisation also noted that preparations are underway for the 2026 edition of the fellowship and has requested formal acceptance from Chief Nwaka as activities intensify.
